What Is Wide-Format Digital Printing?

Digital printing is a modern production technology that, unlike traditional offset and screen printing, requires no plate and makes it possible to print even a single copy. In the advertising sector it is used for high-resolution printing on dozens of different materials, chiefly vinyl, banner, canvas, paper and adhesive vinyl. Our workshop has three different digital printing machines — solvent, eco-solvent and UV technology; each technology has its own areas of use and durability characteristics.

Technical Details

Solvent printing is preferred for billboards, banners and long-lasting outdoor applications because it provides higher outdoor durability; resolution goes up to 720 dpi. Eco-solvent printing is odorless and lower in environmental impact, suitable for indoor and medium-durability outdoor applications. UV printing is a technology in which the ink dries with UV light immediately after printing and can print directly onto almost any rigid or flexible surface; direct printing on materials such as glass, wood, metal, plexiglass and composite panel is possible with UV. In our workshop, our print resolution is 720 dpi for standard work and goes up to 1440 dpi for special photo-quality jobs.

Areas of Use

Signage surface printing, vinyl and adhesive-vinyl cut printing, banner and poster production, exhibition stand and roll-up printing, vehicle wrap printing, glass wrap printing, canvas print production, decoration panel printing, event and organization posters, and in-store window stickers are the areas where digital printing is most often used. The ability to produce a single copy or a production run from the same file makes digital printing indispensable for small and medium-scale work.

Wide-Format Digital Printing in Iskenderun and Hatay

In Iskenderun's humid climate, applying lamination after digital printing is much more critical; otherwise high humidity pulls the ink out from under the layer and causes color degradation. In our workshop, UV laminate is mandatory on all our outdoor prints, while matte or gloss laminate is offered optionally on our indoor prints. For our customers around the coastal strip and Atatürk Boulevard, we offer a special package with a 5-year color warranty.

Why Techno Reklam?

The secret to quality in digital printing is not only the machine; it is the correct management of ink, the ambient humidity–temperature balance and the lamination processes. In our workshop the print room is temperature- and humidity-controlled, so the prints produced are of the same quality regardless of the season. As ink, we prefer original manufacturer ink; although alternative ink lowers cost, in the long run it causes surface fading.
