Iskenderun Composite Cladding
PVDF-painted 4 mm aluminum composite panel — a facade cladding system with a 20-year color warranty.
What Is Composite Cladding?
Composite cladding is the use of the aluminum composite panel (ACP — Aluminium Composite Panel) in a facade system. ACP consists of an LDPE or FR (Fire Retardant) core layer placed between two 0.4 mm aluminum sheets, and the total panel thickness is standard 3 mm or 4 mm. Because of its lightweight structure, flat surface, wide color range and long life, it is the most common panel type of modern facade systems. As Techno Reklam, in Iskenderun we apply composite cladding on bank branches, malls, plazas, hotels and organized industrial-zone blocks; our standard panel is 4 mm PVDF-painted with a 20-year color warranty.
Technical Details
Composite cladding consists of 3 layers: the lower carrier frame + insulation + panel. In the frame, L-profile or box profile is preferred; a 60x60 cm module spacing is the standard according to the facade dimension. The panel is fixed with a concealed-screw cassette system or a T-profile suspension system. In terms of paint type, PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride) is 4 times longer-lasting than polyester paint; it carries a color warranty of up to 20 years. The joint width is 12–15 mm; an EPDM gasket is applied on the inner part and neutral silicone on the outer part. In public structures requiring fire safety and in high blocks, FR core panels are mandatory.
Areas of Use
Bank branch facades, plaza and business-center exterior cladding, mall and street-store facades, hotel and restaurant entrance sections, hospital and health-center facades, organized industrial-zone management buildings, and corporate company headquarters are the most frequently requested application areas of composite cladding. In addition to the standard flat panel, special patterned versions such as perforated, wood-grain and brushed aluminum are also available.
Composite Cladding in Iskenderun and Hatay
The salty humidity arising from Iskenderun's gulf climate is a determining factor for the long life of the paint on composite panels. For our commercial buildings located close to the coast, we recommend PVDF paint instead of standard polyester paint, and we use stainless bolts in the edge connection of the aluminum cassettes. In the composite facade projects we have applied along Sözen Çay Street and Tayfur Sökmen Boulevard, we prevent panel cracking by using elastic expansion shims in accordance with the seismic map.
Why Techno Reklam?
The most frequently encountered defect in composite cladding is "panel rippling" — it occurs due to a wrong cassette system or insufficient joint width. In our workshop, all panels are prepared with CNC cutting and V-groove; this way, perfect alignment is achieved at the corners. We carry out on-site application with our own insured scaffolding team, and we deliver all invoices/warranty documents for the substructure materials and the panels.
